The ARS 2000 series represents the new generation of highly dynamic digital servo controllers for three-phase synchronous motors. As the successor of the existing ARS series the philosophy of flexibility and multi-functionality has been continued. The universal encoder interface for a number of angle encoders of well-known manufacturers and the CAN interface are just a few of the outstanding features.
Due to one additional external incremental encoder input and output each, the controllers are suitable for synchronization with variable gear ratios or simple connection to a PLC. Automatic identification functions facilitate and accelerate first commissioning. The servo controllers for control cabinet installation are designed for a rated power of approximately 2500 W for single-phase supply and integrate a Power Factor Correction. The devices thus fulfill the requirements of EN 61000-3-2 regarding current harmonics and achieve a better utilization of the motors and more stable intermediate circuit voltage.
